At the Bottom

You are a weight
resting at the bottom of my stomach
like a large pearl at the pit
of the ocean
too large for lifting
too grand for jewelry
and too unique for show.

You sit anchored in the depth
of silent waters
inside the suffocation
unwavering
unwanting
of air.
